What is the Apprentice Players?

ap is dedicated to presenting fully realized theatrical performances produced, directed, acted, designed, and marketed by members of central Kentucky's youth theatre scene that challenge and stimulate members in all aspects of theatre. Respected and experienced adult mentors from the theatre community guide and teach in areas the group needs assistance, however, the student is responsible for the final product.

ap began in 2007, and was founded by then high school students Jacob M. Sexton and C.G. Niquette along with executive producer Eric Seale. The success of the groups first production DOG SEES GOD: CONFESSIONS OF A TEENAGE BLOCKHEAD showed the need for a group with Apprentice Player's mission in Lexington.

ap  is committed to building and refining the concepts of the organization to serve young theatre artists now and in the future.
